Before 2020, I used to openly proclaim that remote work was not for me. I thought that I would be unproductive and would have trouble motivating myself. 1 year and 6 months later, I have to revise my stance.
What personal challenges did you overcome through work?
When I was a teenager, I used to be terrifiedย of making phone calls. I would have to prepare every word that I was going to say before hand and was anxious way ahead of time. Heart racing, hot flashes, ... the whole shabang.

Living abroad and/or with a significant other from a different cultural background, you sometimes see yourself and your upbringing through a different set of eyes. Things that you might not otherwise question and usually take for granted can very suddenly be open for interpretation and reflection.
