Before 2020, I used to openly proclaim that remote work was not for me. I thought that I would be unproductive and would have trouble motivating myself. 1 year and 6 months later, I have to revise my stance.
When I was a teenager, I used to be terrified of making phone calls. I would have to prepare every word that I was going to say before hand and was anxious way ahead of time. Heart racing, hot flashes, ... the whole shabang.
I remember the newscasters trying to explain the unfolding situation, but it all seemed surreal. The concept of terrorists or a terrorist attack were so foreign to me, let alone on that scale.
A couple of days ago, Pepper Valentine generously nominated me for the Outstanding Blogger Award. I feel very grateful and humbled. Thank you, Pepper, having only recently joined the blogging sphere, this means a lot.
Hamburg has some of the most spectacular sunrises that I have ever seen anywhere. It might be due to where the city is located on the globe or the constant clouds being a great canvas, but the sun often paints the most magnificent and breathtaking morning spectacles in the sky.
To me, the Red Sea was perfect to try them out. The salt content is so high that you are not really afraid of drowning. Additionally, the coral reefs are gorgeous with colorful fish dipping in and out of its creeks.
My favorite beaches are scattered across the Hawaiian island of Maui. Whether you want to swim, snorkel, dive, surf or just sunbathing... there is a perfect beach for you somewhere on the island.
Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the United States. And as far as we have come, we still have a long way to go to reach true equality for everyone.
