Travel Favorites: Take a chill pill (Vibe)

Do you get tongue tide like me, when people ask you for your favorite travel destination? Personally, I find it impossible to pick just one. I have been privileged to visit so many amazing places and honestly can appreciate every single one for different reasons. Food, architecture, history, uniqueness, culture, people… I can think of countless reason to fall in love with a city or country.

With that in mind, I thought of shedding some light on my travel favorites based on different categories. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Favorite Vibes: Barcelona (Spain)

Sometimes during travel, you want excitement. And sometimes you want to lay back and relax. To me, Barcelona has both. So many great things to see and at the same time, there is this laid back vibe in the air. You can explore and/or party if you would like, but how about you just relax and enjoy the moment. Sit on the beach, take a stroll around the harbor or the Gothic quarter, enjoy the atmosphere in one of the many cafés, bars or restaurants, take life one step at a time. There is no need to rush. Just enjoy the moment.

How about you?
Which travel destination has the best vibe in your opinion?

  1. Absolutely agree with you on Barcelona, and can add some others. Valencia has every single kind of wow factor, too many to list here! Brussels and Salzburg probably the best surprises, Paris always good, Oaxaca was amazing, but Singapore probably tops our list. (Although if ever you fancy a “beer and rock” weekend, there’s nowhere better than Dusseldorf!)

  2. Your photos of Barcelona are beautiful; you went during a gorgeous time! The last time I went was in February 2016, to mostly grey skies and the occasional clear day…one place that has my heart with the slow-pace “vibes” has got to be the south of France, especially in the summer when the weather is hot and all you want to do is take in the bucolic landscape on a terrace with a glass of chilled rosé in hand. I miss it! ❤
